In the Market

High Point Perfection

I know Mondays make us all sad and blue, but I’m hoping today’s post will leave you all feeling happy and full of eyegasms! All weekend Instagram has talked of nothing other than High Point Market, the end-all-be-all furniture market from October 22nd-26th in High Point, NC. Seriously, I think I might be the only design-obsessed individual not in attendance. While I’m sure the market is full of amazing, glorious design and products, one thing I would have loved to see is the new Mark Sikes collection for Henredon.

I spoke last week about my very real obsession with Mr. Sikes work, his blog, and his new book Beautiful: All American Decorating & Timeless Style. So it should come as no surprise that the obsession with this collection, aptly titled California Today, is REALLY REAL. Mr. Sikes says about the collection:

“The collection is all-Americana and traditional in it’s roots, with Asian, Neo-Classical, and French influences. Feels modern – the eclectic mix that feels approachable and relaxed, just like California Living.”

Check out some images from the collection, as well as some of my favorite pieces below.
