When was the last time you were in Richmond, Virginia?
For me, it was about seven years ago when I attended the wedding of an old friend. I’ve never thought about visiting since, until I laid eyes on the gorgeous Quirk Hotel while reading Coco + Kelley the other afternoon. Everything about the hotel’s design just makes me want to move in, from the high arched ceilings, neutral design peppered with pops of pink, and a choice between 74 uniquely decorated rooms.
Built almost one hundred years ago, the structure is a Virginia Historic Landmark, that owners Ted & Katie Ukrop completely redesigned with the hopes of showing visitors the best that Richmond has to offer. Located on Broad Street, in the city’s upcoming arts district, the hotel features a handcrafted sign from a local sign shop, coffee from local favorite Blanchard’s, as well as an impressive collection of art from local artists.
In-house restaurant Maple & Pine features New American food in a swank atmosphere from chef David Dunlap.
A beautiful hotel bar setup anchors the restaurant.
One of the things I love about this hotel is that the rooms are designed from sleek and gender neutral, to modern and feminine. Which would you pick?
I want to move in. The branding here is just too good. I mean, even the coffee cups are super chic!
What do you think of the Quirk Hotel? Would you stay here on your next visit to Richmond?
